Intro

Technique Electronics CC is a privately owned company that was founded in 1989.

The Company employs approximately 50 people, with the manufacturing plant and head office located in Roodeport Johannesburg. Today the company stands as the forefront of electronics manufacturing technology, supported by an in-house quality management system, certification to ISO 9000 and the introduction of stock JIT practices.

In maintaining and growing our business we recognise our responsibilities to our customers and the environment and we remain committed to suppling quality product.

Company Management

The company is owned and managed by Neville Hart and Bryan Hart. Both members are qualified electrical engineers with diverse over 40 years of management, production and design experience.

Production Capabilities

Technique electronics has two distinct lines of business these are:
· Contact manufacturing.
· Own product manufacturing.

In addition all contract work can be supported with our own in house ERP procurement if required.

Technique electronics currently has the SMD capabilities of placing:
· 0201 components and up
· 54mm x 54mm QFP down to 0.28 pitch or 35mm x 84mm QFP
· SMD component heights of 15mm
· BGA’s 54mm x 54mm or BGS’s 35mm x 84mm

Current SMD capacity is about 1.6 million placements per month, but has a strategic partner if additional capacity is required on short notice.

Conventional thru hole parts are hand insertion lines where irregular sized or odd shaped components are inserted.

PCB's are then soldered through a Wave Flow Solder Machine as standard. Technique also has a hand soldering department where the post fit or more complicated work is done on the product.

This combination of equipment makes Technique Electronics a world class Turn Key electronics contract manufacturer.

In addition Technique is currently in the process of assessing plant for Lead free soldering and tracking technology that will be required for European, Australian and US markets by 4th Qtr 2007. Tracking and bar-coding of products can be done on request from customers.
