Benefits the environment: Minimize your carbon footprint
Solid technology: No moving parts

What is a Grid-tie or Utility tie or Utility interactive solar energy system?

When a house with solar power is linked to the utility grid it is called a grid-tie system. In the South Africa most of the electricity for homes comes by way of a utility grid. Basically homes are linked to the electric utility via power lines either buried or stretched along power poles which is commonly referred to as a utility grid. The grid serves as a large network to provide power to communities.

Due to rising costs of electricity and a movement away from "brown" power, citizens are taking back their independence by adding solar to their homes. You generate electricity free from the sun's abundant energy and it is converted into AC electricity. This solar powered electricity then flows backwards through your utility meter and each month you only pay the net of the meter reading. It is possible to lower or even eliminate your monthly electric bill and at the same time minimizing your carbon footprint!
